New Manufacturing & Production

Raw materials in.
Cost per block out.

Hisab now runs brick and block factories - and every workshop that turns raw materials into something to sell. Record a batch: it draws the cement, sand and gravel from stock, adds labour, electricity and the machine, and tells you what each good block really cost. Cracked ones are counted, not hidden.

  • From raw materials to finished blocksCement, sand and gravel go into stock. Each batch draws them out and puts the finished blocks in.
  • Cost per block, worked out for youMaterials, labour, electricity and the machine - divided over the blocks that came out good.
  • Damaged blocks, countedCracked in the yard or broken later - recorded as waste, with what it cost you.
  • Contractors on creditInvoice the builder by the truckload and see what each one still owes.
  • Production reportsCost against selling price for every size you make, month by month.
  • On the phone, even offlineSell at the yard gate with no signal - it syncs when the network is back.

New Business groups

Many businesses.
One picture.

A business group connects the businesses you run - three pharmacy branches, or a pharmacy, a cosmetics shop and an import arm. Send stock from one to another at cost and see it in transit until it is received, move money between them, and read one profit and loss and one balance sheet for them all. Each business still keeps its own staff, stock and books.

  • Branches or different tradesThree pharmacy branches, or a pharmacy, a cosmetics shop and an import arm - any types, under one login.
  • Stock transfers at costItems leave one business at what they cost and show as in transit until the other one receives them.
  • Money transfersMove money from one business’s cash or bank to another’s. Both sets of books change at once.
  • One combined profit and balance sheetEvery business side by side with the group total - what they owe each other is taken out.

The problem

You can’t fix what you can’t see.

Stock tracked by memory - so theft and expired goods quietly eat the profit.

No idea which products actually make money, and which just sit there.

Foreign software is priced in dollars, built for foreign tax, and dies without internet.

Tax records and end-of-day totals are a guess, pieced together by hand.

Retail · Wholesale · Manufacturing · Import · Export · Cashbook

Sell to people, supply the shops, make it yourself, bring it in, send it out - or just keep the books.

Hisab runs all of them on the same engine - it just switches on the right tools the moment you pick your type.

How it works

One platform that sets itself up for your kind of business.

01

Pick your business type

A pharmacy, grocery, hardware shop, fuel station, a wholesaler, an importer - or an exporter. Hisab switches on the right tools and staff roles for that kind of business. No setup wizard marathon.

02

Add your products & sell

Scan a barcode or tap a product. Sales work offline and feel instant. Stock drops automatically as you sell.

03

See where the money is

Open the dashboard to today’s profit, your best and worst sellers, dead stock, and what’s about to expire.

A closer look

Everything a business actually needs - done properly.

Not a thin app with a long feature list. Each piece is a real, working system.

Point of sale

Ring up sales. Internet optional.

Every sale writes to the till first, so checkout is instant - scan the basket, take payment, done. When the connection returns, it syncs on its own and nothing is ever lost.

  • Scan a barcode or tap a product
  • Cash, Telebirr, or card

Know what’s on the shelf - and what’s costing you.

Stock moves with every sale and delivery, so counts stay honest without counting. Hisab flags what to reorder, what’s about to expire, and what’s just sitting there tying up cash.

  • Low-stock & reorder alerts
  • Expiry in 30 / 60 / 90 days
  • Dead-stock detection

Today’s profit - and the full books behind it.

Not “net margin” - the real birr you made today, after cost and expenses. Then the proper statements when you need them: Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow, exportable and per business.

Wholesale, manufacturing, import & export · B2B

Built for distributors, manufacturers, importers & exporters, too.

Wholesalers supply the shops - so they get price lists and customer tiers, credit terms and limits, quotes that become orders, sales reps, dispatch routes, receivables and backorders. Manufacturers sell to contractors on the same credit and price lists, with every batch costed. Importers add shipments, customs clearance and landed-cost on top. Exporters price each shipment FOB, CFR or CIF from its real costs. Same engine, B2B-shaped.

See the demo
Is it really free?

Yes. The Starter plan is free for one business with everything you need to run it - offline POS, inventory, reports, customers, and a storefront. Growth - more businesses and branches, a full website and the advanced tools - is free for your first year as well, then priced in birr. Nothing is charged unless you choose to stay.

Does it work without internet?

Yes - the point of sale is offline-first. Every sale writes to the device immediately, so checkout never waits on a connection. When you’re back online, queued sales sync automatically and can’t double-charge.

I make what I sell - bricks, blocks, bread, furniture. Does Hisab fit?

Yes. Pick one of the eight manufacturing types - brick & block, cement products, food & beverage, furniture, textile & garment, metal fabrication, plastic products, or general manufacturing. Keep your raw materials in stock, set what goes into each product, and record every batch: Hisab draws the materials, adds labour, electricity and machine costs, and works out the cost of each good unit. Damaged units are recorded as waste, the finished goods go into stock at their real cost, and production reports set that cost against your selling price. Contractors can buy on credit, on invoices you track to the birr.

I’m a wholesaler, not a shop. Does Hisab fit?

It does. Pick one of the nine wholesale types and Hisab switches on B2B tools - price lists and tiers, customer credit and terms, quotes, sales reps, dispatch routes, minimum-order rules, receivables, and backorders.

I import goods - can it handle customs and landed cost?

Yes. Pick one of the eight importer types and Hisab adds shipment and customs clearance, landed-cost tracking - duty, freight and fees rolled into true unit cost - letters of credit and supplier management, then the same B2B tools to distribute: price lists, credit, receivables, and dispatch.

I export - can it price FOB, CFR and CIF?

Yes. Pick one of the eight exporter types - coffee, livestock, agriculture, leather, minerals, textile, food products or natural products - and Hisab builds each shipment's price from its real costs. The incoterm decides which total the buyer pays, and export expenses post straight to your ledger. Shipment, LC and customs-declaration tracking are the next step.

What languages does it support?

English and Amharic, side by side. The interface and your data are built to be read by the people who actually run the business.

Where does my data live, and can I get it out?

Each business is its own sealed database - your data is never mixed with anyone else’s. You can export it any time; it’s yours, full stop.

Do I need special hardware?

No. Hisab runs on a phone, tablet, or computer you already have. A barcode scanner, scale, or receipt printer are optional add-ons, not requirements.

Can one person run several businesses?

Yes - one login, many businesses. Run a pharmacy and a florist (or a shop and a wholesale arm) and switch between them. Each keeps its own staff, books, and modules.

My businesses work together - branches, or a shop and an import arm. Can Hisab connect them?

Yes - put them in a business group. Any types can join: three pharmacy branches, or a pharmacy, a cosmetics shop and an import business. Send stock from one to another at its cost - it shows as in transit until the other business receives it - and move money from one’s cash or bank to another’s. Link a bank account they share, copy one chart of accounts to the rest, and read one combined profit and loss and balance sheet, with what they owe each other taken out. Each business still keeps its own staff, stock and books.
